HILLSBOROUGH, N.C., Nov. 19, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- (, America's most trusted source for adult products, is back this month with more information on "hooking up," the no-strings-attached casual sex that has become the norm. This time, the company asked participants how satisfied they were with hooking up compared to sex while in a relationship.

While 56% of the respondents denied "hooking up" in their sex lives, of the 44% who admitted to it, 22% said sex is better in a relationship. Eleven percent said sex is better with a hookup partner, and 11% said it was the same.

Dr. Kat Van Kirk, resident sexpert for, sees hookup sex as the new default today. "Many young adults are participating in hookups... it has almost become expected. While hookup sex can be fun and exciting, it may not a substitute for a real relationship."

"Adam & Eve supports healthy sexuality between consenting adults," says Director of Marketing Chad Davis. "From singles to couples, both long and short term, has something for every phase and type of relationship."

The web-based survey, conducted by an independent third party survey company, of over 1,000 American adults age 18 and up, was sponsored by Adam & Eve to study sexual preferences and practices.
