Adaptrum Demonstrates HD Video Streaming and High-Speed Internet Over Unused TV Broadcast Channels (White Spaces) Using Innovative Cognitive Radio and Microsoft Spectrum Management Databases

LAS VEGAS, April 14, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- This week Adaptrum, a Silicon Valley-based company that delivers broadband wireless access solutions, demonstrated commercially ready "white space" wireless broadband technology at Microsoft's show booth at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) show at the Las Vegas Convention Center in Las Vegas, Nevada.

Both companies have been active in researching and developing technologies and solutions that enable wireless devices to unlock previously unused radio spectrum – the so-called "white spaces."  These technologies and techniques are the basis for the U.S. Federal Communications Commission's (FCC's) decision to allow unlicensed devices to access unused TV bands.
