ADI Consulting Strengthens Capabilities in Econometric Analysis
FAIRFAX, Va., August 10, 2011 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- ADI Compliance Consulting, Inc. is pleased to announce that Paul J. Strasberg, Ph.D., has joined the firm as Senior Economist. Dr. Strasberg will bring extensive analytic experience and expertise to a variety of the company's services, specializing in econometric analysis for Fair Lending and other areas of regulatory compliance. The expansion of ADI's data analysis team comes at a time when regulators are under pressure from Congress to be more thorough in their examination of lenders, prompting these institutions to conduct more sophisticated risk assessments and performance analyses, often incorporating a range of econometric techniques with regard to their lending activity.
"We are very excited to welcome Dr. Strasberg to ADI Consulting," stated Mike Mitchell, President. "Adding an applied econometrician with such strong credentials and solid background will bring added depth and perspective to our regulatory compliance team. Dr. Strasberg has worked with ADI, as a consultant, on numerous Fair Lending projects over the past several years, and we now look forward to his contributions to the firm as a full-time member of our team."
Prior to joining ADI Consulting, Dr. Strasberg designed and led the implementation of several large scale experimental- and quasi-experimental impact evaluations at two Federal agencies – the Office of Analysis, Nutrition and Evaluation at the Food and Nutrition Service of the U.S. Dept of Agriculture and the National Center for Education Evaluation at the U.S. Dept of Education. Over his 12 years of Federal service, Dr. Strasberg often provided briefings of evaluation results to congressional staff, Executive Branch officials and to interest groups. Earlier in his career, Dr. Strasberg served on the faculty within the Colleges of Agriculture at two land-grant institutions – Michigan State University and the University of Wisconsin – where he led a series of quasi-experimental studies that focused on the relationship between agricultural productivity and food security in a range of settings across Sub-Saharan Africa.
Dr. Strasberg holds a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics from Michigan State University, a Master's of Public Affairs from the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs at the University of Texas at Austin, and a B.A. from Indiana University in Political Science.
