BOCA RATON, Fla., April 10, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Processing & Imaging, Inc. (API), a developer of business process automation and document management software today announced that they formally support the K-12 School Service Provider Pledge to Safeguard Student Privacy.

Endorsed by President Obama, this important pledge was announced on October 7, 2014 by The Future of Privacy Forum (FPF) and the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). The Pledge's goal is to safeguard student privacy built around a dozen commitments regarding the collection, maintenance, and use of student personal information.

The Pledge is an important step in helping students, parents and educators realize the promise of personalized learning while giving them the peace of mind that technology companies will follow a common set of privacy principles to protect the privacy of student information.

Use data only for authorized education purposes

Support parental access to, and correction of errors in, their children's information
Provide comprehensive security standards
Be transparent about collection and use of data
