Advanced Technology Services Hires David Corey As General Manager, IT Services

Award-Winning Senior IT Manager and IBM Veteran to Oversee ATS' Customer-Facing IT Services Management Group

PEORIA, Ill., March 3, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Technology Services, Inc. (ATS) today announced the hiring of IT veteran David Corey as its new General Manager, IT Services. Corey, a 20-year IT industry veteran with proven experience building customer-focused IT solutions, will oversee all aspects of ATS' IT Services group, a division providing value-added IT management services to corporate customers.

Corey comes to ATS after a longtime career at IBM where he rose through the ranks from Project Manager to Global IT Services Project Executive. In one of his last position at IBM, Corey oversaw a global delivery team of 150 people in 50 countries, managing IBM's strategic outsourcing contract and overseeing service delivery and infrastructure. Over his career, Corey earned Six Sigma Black Belt certification and was awarded IBM's Senior Business Leadership award, among other honors.

Corey has demonstrated his expertise in building world-class, customer-focused IT solutions across multiple assignments. Notably, in his position as a Global IT Delivery Project Executive, Corey led the redesign of several global delivery teams, implementing a global service desk and on-site desktop support strategy. His ability to negotiate services from multiple internal and external vendors resulted in cost and service improvements for customers.

Corey's skill at understanding technology and client business requirements earned him repeated Professional Leadership Technical Exchange awards from IBM; in addition he was able to build effective internal teams through his talents in employee mentoring and coaching.

In addition to his Six Sigma Black Belt, Corey has been certified in project management from PMI. He holds a master's degree in business administration from DeVry University's Keller Graduate School of Management and a bachelor's degree in computer science from the University of Windsor.
