WHAT: Despite some reports to the contrary, road construction won't affect this weekend's Green Living Festival in downtown Rochester, where more than 50,000 are expected for "good, green fun." One of the largest green/wellness events on the planet, the Green Living Festival is presented by MI Green Team and offers more than 200 healthy living and earth-friendly exhibits, presentations, roundtables and kids' activities, along with Party for the Planet music, beer and food, a parade and more. The event is free and fun for all ages.
WHEN: Fri. 6/22 4-9 pm; Sat. 6/23 11 am-7 pm; Sun. 6/24 11 am-5 pm. Party for the Planet runs until 10 pm Fri. & Sat.
WHERE: Water & Third Streets, Downtown Rochester
TRAFFIC UPDATE: Main St. is temporarily closed but posted detour signs take you right to the festival location, with little or no delays and ample free parking. A free shuttle is available from The Home Depot on Avon Rd. just west of Rochester Rd.
