Advocacy Leaders Event Series Launches December 9th
"Breaking through on Capitol Hill: Making Noise vs. Making a Difference"
WASHINGTON, Nov. 30, 2011 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- The Advocacy Leaders Network, a new workshop series providing advanced level advocacy training, professional development, and networking opportunities for the public affairs community launches on December 9 discussing "Breaking through on Capitol Hill: Making Noise vs. Making a Difference".
The event is hosted by the Congressional Management Foundation and produced by Beekeeper Group. It is tailored to senior advocacy, government affairs, and public relations professionals. The venue sponsors for the events are Bloomberg Government and Verizon.
The first panel discussion addresses the topic: "Making Noise vs. Making a Difference". Panelists including former Congressman Dan Mica discuss the types of constituent interactions they believe can make a genuine difference on Capitol Hill.
The second panel highlights case studies and best practices for "Leveraging Your Hill Day". Panelists discuss capturing video testimonials from lobby day participants, tactics to increase effectiveness in Congressional offices, how to engage event participants when they return home, and how, through the use of iPads, to conduct virtual meetings with legislators.
