Aegis Media Appoints Angela Courtin EVP, Content & Convergence

NEW YORK, July 12, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Aegis Media North America today announced that Angela Courtin has joined the company as EVP of content and convergence. In this newly created position, Courtin will work across all of Aegis Media's agencies, including Carat, Isobar, Vizeum, Posterscope, Epic and iProspect, to extend the group's leadership in using branded entertainment and content to forge closer connections between brands and consumers.

Recognized for her groundbreaking work at MTV and MySpace, Courtin has developed key relationships with Fortune 500 companies and premium content creators to execute game-changing marketing strategies. Courtin's entertainment background, combined with her understanding of advertisers' need to deepen brand engagement, enable her to merge audience, narrative and brand into new, compelling forms of marketing communications.

Before MTV, she headed up Marketing, Entertainment and Content at MySpace. She led the marketing, entertainment, content, branding, promotions and events teams with the objective of increasing growth, public awareness and revenue for the company. Courtin is a recognized expert and frequent speaker on the role of social media in branding today.
