Aesthetics Advocate Dr. Veronica Greene and Entrepreneurs Use LinkedIn to Launch Major Business Alliance
NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- August 20, 2014 marked the official launch of the NY Aesthetics Professional Alliance (NYAPA) Summit Series and a LinkedIn success story for the community of personal enhancement practitioners. The foundation of this online business networking model and the performance of LinkedIn's matchmaking environment inspired further plans for a major business resource network for the aesthetic and wellness industries in the NYC area.

Over 227 million members use LinkedIn for its 'search and connect' design to generate business connections. Dr. Veronica Greene (midtown anti-aging dental specialist and aesthetics advocate) first met with 175+ professional leaders from LinkedIn to bridge an exchange platform for true alliances. Dr. Greene's outreach promoters spent four months on a citywide campaign to seek out leading practitioners in the field of personal enhancement for several key projects including a complete makeover pilot and an anti-aging educational program. The search resulted in successful connections with hundreds of experts in record time.
"Many people underestimate the power of LinkedIn as a business tool," starts Greene. "I've attended hundreds of business networking mixers that paled in comparison to the results of LinkedIn's functionality as a relationship builder. Using a digital community to build a real (physical) one is the most efficient way to qualify, communicate with and organize everyone. I built three new business projects and a network of role models that I personally enjoy collaborating with!"
The final piece of the blueprint came from NYAPA promoter and professional wellness speaker Tami Racaniello who installed a holistic agenda by calling on health, fitness and nutrition into the roster resulting in the first sub-group brand name: "SELF2.0." "You couldn't build a society of aesthetics experts without health and wellness... they're the vital elements to anti-aging and longevity where living well goes hand in hand with looking great," remarked Racaniello.
The NYAPA founders practice the "use virtual to build real" approach by breaking through the digital cloak of anonymity caused by the 'text-and-tweet' fad. LinkedIn is their online solution dedicated to seeking the right prospects and the initial outreach port for all members, whereas the ultimate goal is to drive personal connections via phone and face-to-face meetings. "We merged all the best parts of all social venues from dating sites to meetup community groups to form the building blocks of relationship-making and selecting from a true "who's who"... and LinkedIn helped us identify a complete picture of everyone for this level of connection!" says network co-planner Grace DellaValle (imworx.com).
Dr. Veronica Greene is the managing partner of TruImage Dental (www.truimagedental.com) and is the head developer of the TruImage Network (www.TruImageNetwork.com) -- a comarketing network of personal enhancement professionals. She is a current member of the National Association of Professional Women and is the author of two blogs about the relationship between dentistry and health, wellness, beauty and aging.
