AFEI Supply Chain Cyber Risk Forum Focuses on Defining Everchanging Cyber Threats
Conference Chair Jennifer Bisceglie Attributes Event's Sold out Success to Increasing Demand for Public-Private collaboration
MCLEAN, Va., Dec. 10, 2010 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ --The Association for Enterprise Information's (AFEI) Supply Chain Cyber Risk Forum, held on December 7, 2010 at the Army Navy Club, Washington, DC, was a sold out success. The event's popularity affirms the increasing demand for business solutions – beyond just technology – that are needed to combat the continuous rise in cyber threats within federal agencies.
The half-day forum, which featured Conference Chair, Jennifer Bisceglie, President, Interos Solutions, Inc., focused on the evolving definition and inseparable connection between cyber and supply chain risk management. Bisceglie also moderated "The Art of Defining Supply Chain Risk Management" panel. Other panel discussions included "Perspectives on the Industry" and "Getting the Policy Right." The conference's mission illustrated that there is no single cyber or supply chain risk definition or solution. Each solution must be closely aligned with the mission of the entity or Agency in question.
"The event's success underscores the critical need for continued public-private discussions to bridge the disparate supply chain risk management perceptions and paradigms," said Bisceglie. "The forum offered many good thoughts on how we might find effective, cost-efficient solutions that will work for national security, now and in the future, while at the same time keep the business case in mind."
