"Business and related studies collectively make up one of the most popular bachelor's-level college majors," said Raj Dash, the article's lead researcher. "So it's a natural progression that some new graduates -- or those who want to upgrade their skills -- want to pursue master's studies in the same topic set. One such area of study is Marketing, whose practice has been changed considerably since the availability of the Internet. The Internet's existence also affects the way traditional marketing is done. Whether your interest is Internet marketing or more traditional channels, a master's degree is a good way to learn new skills and increase your career opportunities.
"In this rankings article, we've ranked the 25 most affordable master's in marketing/ marketing-related degrees, to give future grad studies students a headstart in the program search. This is the first in a new series on affordable topical master's degrees, and Marketing seemed a fitting place to start. The article has many of the discovery features present in our most recent ranking lists, which make it easier to compare all 25 ranked schools simultaneously."
Rankings for this list were compiled with data from NCES (National Center for Education Statistics), a bureau of the Dept. of Education (http://nces.ed.gov/). We queried for graduate institutions that grant degrees in Marketing and related programs, filtered out schools in U.S. protectorate nations such as Guam and Puerto Rico, then sorted the resulting schools by increasing out-of-state graduate tuition figures. From this data, we selected the 25 most affordable. This is part of our new Master's rankings series. Similar topical rankings will be published at AffordableSchools (http://www.affordableschools.net) -- an independent college search and rankings site with a focus on affordable colleges and programs -- on a regular basis.
