Tom Etergino (CFO), Melissa Goidel (CRO) and Ashley Miles (EVP, Sales) Join the Refinery29 Team

NEW YORK, April 1, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Refinery29, ranked second among the 100 fastest growing media companies by Inc. magazine, today announced three key additions to its team to ensure that the company surpasses its growth and revenue goals in 2013 – Tom Etergino, Chief Financial Officer; Melissa Goidel, Chief Revenue Officer; and Ashley Miles, Executive Vice President of Sales – effective immediately.

Tom Etergino most recently was CFO of TheStreet, a NASDAQ listed digital media company. Tom comes to Refinery29 with more than 25 years of experience serving in finance, operations, and strategy roles, in both public and private organizations. Some other important stops on Etergino's career path include eMusic where he was Chief Financial Officer and Chief Operating Officer. Etergino also was the Chief Accounting Officer and Treasurer of DoubleClick, a trailblazing digital advertising technology services company, during its years of rapid growth and into its maturation.

Melissa Goidel joins Refinery29 as CRO with more than 15 years of digital and 20 years of management experience, and has contributed over $1 billion in digital sales to various companies throughout her career. Goidel started her digital career at Yahoo, driving the largest sales category for the company. After Yahoo, Goidel moved on to Time, Inc., where she created the national digital sales teams for People, InStyle, and Entertainment Weekly digital. Prior to coming to Refinery29, Goidel worked at, an ad technology company where she built its national sales force and saw through its sale.

Ashley Miles joins as Executive Vice President of Sales. Before Refinery29, Miles spent years building and leading the beauty business at, creating integrated partnerships with Procter & Gamble, Unilever, Estee Lauder Companies and L'Oreal USA.  Most recently, Miles was with as Regional Vice President of Sales.

2013 is already proving to be a breakout year for Refinery29. In addition to Etergino, Goidel and Miles, Refinery29 brought on other high profile names including Susan Kaplow, the former VP/GM of Life & Style at The Huffington Post, as Vice President, Editorial Operations and Josh Himwich, the former VP of eCommerce Solutions at Quidsi, as Vice President, Product.
