After Successful Data Conversion, BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company Expands Production Use of StoneRiver's PowerSuite® Enterprise for Policy, Claims and Data Warehousing

OAKLAND, Calif., Oct. 24, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- StoneRiver, Inc., the trusted insurance technology partner with solutions across multiple business lines, today announced BrickStreet Mutual Insurance Company (BrickStreet) has expanded its production use of StoneRiver's Multi-State PowerSuite Enterprise. After a successful data conversion to the StoneRiver system, BrickStreet recently increased its market footprint to include West Virginia, Indiana and North Carolina, and is now doing business in a total of seven states.

BrickStreet had selected PowerSuite to support its goal to expand its business to multiple states and to replace the disparate legacy system environment. With BrickStreet's legacy systems unable to effectively support the desired expansion, the company initially considered custom development, but ultimately chose the StoneRiver offering. BrickStreet has deployed PowerSuite for policy and claims processing, in addition to taking advantage of the system's data warehousing capabilities.

BrickStreet opted for a parallel approach to implementation. With the goal of expanding to new states as quickly as possible, BrickStreet chose to continue use of the legacy systems, while getting PowerSuite into production to support the expansion. Once successfully in production with selected states, BrickStreet continued its expansion while building out the PowerSuite functionality and mapping the legacy system data for conversion.

PowerSuite's maintainability and configurability has allowed the BrickStreet team to continue its expansion to new states. While StoneRiver is continuing to provide support for the more complex BrickStreet template and configuration needs, the BrickStreet team has been able to enhance its in-house expertise and contribute significantly in the short term, while working toward increased self-sufficiency.
