Aggie Women Announce New Board Leaders
COLLEGE STATION, Texas, April 18, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- The Women Former Students' Network , a non-profit organization promoting the active engagement of women in the educational, charitable, and cultural life of Texas A&M University, has elected five new directors to its 15-member Board of Directors. The following newly-elected board members will serve three-year terms, from 2012-2014:
- LaRhesa Moon, '86, President-Elect (2013), CEO of Articulate Strategic Communication, San Antonio, Texas
- Katherine Blachly, '98, director of marketing at Munsch Hardt Kopf & Harr, PC, Richardson, Texas
- Mary Frontiera, '95, director at AXIA Resources, Houston, Texas
- Laura Olson, '78, owner of Radiance Advanced Skin and Body Care, Cypress, Texas
- Lisa K. Thompson, '02, associate professor at Prairie View A&M University, Prairie View, Texas
The 2012 Board of Directors also elected the following officers:
- Melanie Schmauch Cheairs, '85, President (2012), partner at Lorance & Thompson, P.C., Kingwood, Texas
- Michelle Roberson, '05, Treasurer, manager at Ernst & Young, Dallas, Texas
- Mary Curtis, '95, Secretary, research assistant at Texas State University-San Marcos, San Marcos, Texas
- Sandra Parét, '80, Past-President (2011), senior vice president at HOK Architects, Dallas, Texas
Additionally, currently serving three-year terms on the Board of Directors:
- Lynn Hagan, '77, LCSW, online faculty with University of Phoenix, faculty with University of Southern Mississippi, clinical social worker in private practice, Aberdeen, Scotland
