Aggregate Industries US Celebrates Safety Milestone
Three facilities awarded for Zero Lost Time Accident Rate in 2012
WALTHAM, Mass., April 18, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Aggregate Industries US (AIUS) (www.aggregate-us.com), a Holcim Group Company (www.holcim.com), announced today that three of its facilities received Safety Achievement Awards from the Illinois Department of Mines and Minerals. The facilities were recognized for accomplishing a Zero Lost Time Accident Rate in 2012. This accomplishment is based on a company's lost time injuries (LTI) record. An LTI is defined as an accident that requires the employee to take time off for recovery.

The three facilities to receive the awards are Dyer Lake Pit #34 located in Burlington, WI, Algonquin Pit #5 located in Algonquin, IL and McHenry West Pit #26 located in McHenry, IL.
