
AGS Awarded Task Order To Support U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center Call Service Center
BOWIE, Md., Nov. 21, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Advanced Government Solutions, Inc. was selected to provide support services for the U.S. Coast Guard National Maritime Center Call Service Center in Martinsburg, W.Va. This five-year (base year and four 1-year options) task order has an approximate value of $5.7 million if all options are exercised.
AGS will provide full-spectrum call center services to assist mariners applying for the USCG's Merchant Mariner Credentials. This support will include managing appointments at the National Maritime Center's Regional Exam Centers, answering questions about the status of applications, and tracking call data and customer feedback in support of the Call Service Center's continuous improvement initiatives.
The National Maritime Center issues Merchant Mariner credentials in an effort to promote a safe, secure, economically efficient and environmentally sound marine transportation system. As the primary interface with mariners completing the credentialing process, the Call Service Center is a vital support element of the NMC.
