AirWatch Provides Comprehensive, Same-Day Support for iOS 7.1 and the Apple Device Enrollment Program

ATLANTA, March 13, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AirWatch by VMware, the leading enterprise mobility management (EMM) provider, announces comprehensive, same-day support for iOS 7.1 and the Apple Device Enrollment Program. Customers can immediately leverage the new streamlined device enrollment process and key enhancements in iOS 7.1, including activation lock commands, clear activation lock commands and token updates.

The Apple Device Enrollment Program addresses the mass configuration needs of organizations purchasing and deploying devices in large quantities, without the need for factory customization or pre-configuration of devices prior to deployment. Through the program, organizations can provision and prevent removal of mobile device management (MDM) profiles on an iOS device purchased through Apple. The non-removable MDM profile that comes pre-configured on the device is particularly beneficial for educational institutions and corporate-owned device deployments.
