Through this formal relationship, TIA and ALAN will work together to identify sources of transportation capacity for humanitarian relief in support of ALAN's mission to save lives and reduce suffering for disaster survivors. The partnership is effective immediately, and ALAN is sharing information on transportation needs related to recent disasters including flooding in South Carolina and Texas.

TIA voted during their fall board meeting in mid-November to formalize their relationship with ALAN. Based in Alexandria, VA, TIA is the premier organization for third-party logistics professionals doing business in North America. TIA provides resources, education, information, advocacy and connections to establish, maintain and expand ethical, profitable and growing businesses in service to their customers. TIA members act as the facilitators to arrange the efficient and economical movement of goods.
