All American Homes® to Build Accessible Home for Medtrade 2010
ELKHART, Ind., Sept. 30 /PRNewswire/ -- All American Homes, LLC, one of the nation's largest builders of residential modular homes through its manufacturing facilities, will be building the home for the NextGen Medtrade exhibit (www.nextgenhome.com). The 1,650 square foot, 2 bedroom, 2 bath house was designed for an accessible lifestyle, creating an environment that is barrier free.
The Accessible Home exhibits the ability to provide a functional and affordable home that overcomes the "facility look". All American® approached the design by addressing the daily living challenges of safe and accessible entryways, inside and out of the house, limited reach capabilities in the kitchen, and bathroom accessibility. The home demonstrates solutions using innovative designs combined with the latest medical device technology. This allows those facing a chronic illness or disability to remain independent.
"The options and ideas this home will showcase are exciting and the cutting-edge products will show real life solutions for Americans who are looking to avoid long-term care or alternate living scenarios," said Kevin Gaffney, CEM, group show director.
Medtrade 2010 will take place November 15-18, 2010, at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta. The Accessible Home will be open to show attendees beginning November 16 at 10 a.m. and will remain open for tours throughout the show.
"All American® is proud to build the NextGen Accessible Home. Building a new home designed specifically for an accessible life style is often the most cost effective and practical option," said Rick Bedell, President of All American Homes, LLC. "Americans seeking independent living can have a home that is built safely, quickly, and with the quality they deserve."
