All In For The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica's Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament

SANTA MONICA, Calif., April 17, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- The Boys & Girls Clubs of Santa Monica(BGCSM) is hosting a Celebrity Charity Poker Tournament & party April 24 at the Lexus Santa Monica showroom as part of its 70^th Anniversary celebration. More than 200 guests are expected including celebrities, VIPs, trend-setting young professionals and "Silicon Beach" entrepreneurs.

Funds raised at this Texas Hold'em celebrity tournament produced by Traci Szymanski will go towards improving and expanding BGCSM's award-winning programs and services that reach 8,000 children, across 109 zip codes. "Our mission is to inspire and enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential," says Janis Morse, Director of Development, BGCSM. "We are excited to announce that we have expanded to 11 sites in and around Santa Monica, and are reaching even more underserved youth."

Over 30 celebrities expected to attend including: Karina Smirnoff, Joanna Krupa, Mekhi Phifer, Gilles Marini, Joey Fatone, Tito Ortiz, David Allen Grier, Carl Weathers, Shawn Stockman, AJ Buckley, Shanna Moakler, Golnessa Gharachedaghi, & more.

In addition to mingling with celebrities, tournament players can win a 6-night stay at the fabulous Hut Pointe Inn on Eleuthera, Bahamas, a stay at La Jolla Beach & Tennis Club with dinner at the award-winning Marine Room, & a 55" HDTV.

DJ doesha will be providing music & guests will have the opportunity to bid on valuable auction items, enjoy cocktails by Venice Beer Company, Ton Benito Tequila and Mangria. Hors d'oeuvres will be provided Santa Monica restaurant TINGA.
