All State Van Lines Relocation Dedicates Week to Customer Service Staff
Moving Broker Recognizes Its Employees With Customer Service Week 2012
TUMWATER, Wash., Oct. 16, 2012 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- All State Van Lines Relocation (ASVL), one of the leaders in the always hectic moving industry, recently took some time away from the boxes and tape to show appreciation to its employees. Under the theme "Be the One", the company orchestrated a week's worth of fun events to get employees involved and keep them in good spirits. Even though the show of gratitude coincided with the international Customer Service Week, ASVL put a unique spin on the week with innovative activities.

"We know that this company would not go very far if we didn't have dedicated employees. They all had to go through a rigorous training process to become customer service representatives, so this is a good reward for their hard work," said Linda Robinson, Customer Service Manager, ASVL. "Our goal was to set aside this week to do things to remind the employees of just how much we appreciate what they do on a daily basis."
The "Be the One Customer Service Week" kicked off on Monday with a free continental breakfast. Employees smiled as they fueled up on pastries and delicious waffle and eggs. The following day, employees were challenged to see who could wear the craziest, most outrageous hat. This event was a popular one as the hallways were filled with people wearing funny head gear. Wednesday brought in the spirit of competition when everyone got to wear their favorite team jersey for Sports Day. The week then ended with bright, mismatched outfits as a part of Wacky/Tacky Day on Thursday and Department Color Day on Friday. For the final event, each department within the company was assigned a specific color to wear. It was fitting that Customer Service won the most coordinated award as they all looked dashing in black.
"Our number one goal is to make sure our customers are satisfied and we know that won't happen unless our employees are truly happy with their jobs," Robinson added. "This is the kind of week where we got to connect with employees on a different level and reignite a bond that makes us successful."
Customer Service Week originated to show support and appreciation to those who greet customers, take phone calls and handle emails on behalf of companies worldwide. ASVL even incorporated daily raffle prizes, several word games and an essay competition.
