
Allegheny Financial Group Names Kuhn & Haynes Managing Partners
They succeed founders Browne and Hohman in planned transition
PITTSBURGH, Aug. 1, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Allegheny Financial Group has named principals Jonathan A. Kuhn, CFP, and Brandon J. Haynes, CFP, the managing partners of the firm and its affiliate, Allegheny Investments. The two succeed firm founders James J. Browne, CFP, and, James D. Hohman, CFP, respectively, as president of Allegheny Financial Group and president of Allegheny Investments. Haynes assumes the former position; Kuhn, the latter. Browne and Hohman remain principals of the firm and members of the executive committee of the board of directors.

Both Kuhn, who joined Allegheny Financial Group in 1994, and Haynes, who joined the firm in 1996, became principals in 2007. In addition to their professional certification as financial planners, both hold degrees in financial management from Grove City College.
The firm also announced that Associate Vice President Darin Hawn, CFP, has been named a principal and member of the board of directors. Since 2004 Hawn, who joined the firm in 2000, has been an advisor in the Allegheny group headed by long-time principal Karl G. Smrekar, Jr., CFP.
