The combined stats of these 10 recipes alone include more than 10 million page views from home cooks, nearly 353,000 recipe box saves, 86,000 social shares, and an average rating of 4.78 stars out of 5.
Nine of the 10 recipes are very or slightly orange, a color proven to stimulate the appetite. Perhaps the photos of these orange dishes resonate well with cooks because subconsciously they feel the most hungry when looking at orange foods?

New media and smartphones brought significant change to 2012. Allrecipes saw a 142% increase in mobile visits compared to 2011 with over 303 million visits this year from a mobile device. The company also saw nearly 5 million pins from its site, and received more than 14.7 million upstream referrals from Pinterest in 2012. Even though it didn't make the top 10 list, the most-pinned recipe on Allrecipes is Crispy Edamame with more than 272,000 pins.
Overall traffic included more than 30 million unique visitors and 921 million visits across Allrecipes web and mobile site—with a #1 comScore ranking every month this year. 2012 marked the sites 15th anniversary and the celebration campaign is still happening on the #RecipeForHappiness page which hosts an ever growing collection of photos from Allrecipes' community members around the world.
