Allrecipes' Survey Confirms the Best Way to Someone's Heart is Through Their Stomach
New Survey Reveals Majority of Americans Show their Feelings with Food on Valentine's Day
SEATTLE, Feb. 1 /PRNewswire/ -- According to a new survey of the Allrecipes community, 79 percent of Americans believe special foods on Valentine's Day are what make an evening romantic, and 60 percent believe that music is also a factor. The least important Valentine's item according to respondents is gifts, which proves that the best way to someone's heart is through their stomach. Each year, millions of Americans stress about planning a special Valentine's Day. This year, Allrecipes.com, the world's #1 food site, has the answers to make the celebration a romantic success at the New Valentine's Day page: http://allrecipes.com/Features/Holidays/ValentinesDay/2010/valentinesday2010.aspx.

Who's Cooking What?
According to Allrecipes' survey, more than 65 percent of Americans plan to celebrate Valentine's Day by cooking at home and more than 44 percent will accompany the dinner with…wine! On the topic of wine, or rather, whine, 51 percent of women have never had their significant other cook them a Valentine's Day meal. In fact, the majority of women surveyed plan to be in the kitchen on February 14. It's not the economy that's keeping them home either – the majority says it's more romantic than eating out at a restaurant.
