Allscripts launches new mobile acute care solution designed for nursing professionals

CHICAGO, Oct. 29, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Allscripts (NASDAQ: MDRX) has introduced Sunrise Mobile Care™, a new mobile application for the Allscripts Sunrise EHR that delivers valuable medication, order and result information to the mobile devices of nurses and other clinicians.

Allscripts Sunrise Mobile Care extends the power and usability of the Sunrise platform. The easy-to-use application allows nurses and other clinicians to review and input patient information at the point of care, improving workflow efficiencies, driving quality outcomes and supporting real-time patient care and documentation.

A patient summary gives quick access to key information including allergies, vitals and intake and output values (with graphs and trends), as well as a problem list. Partnered with scanning technology, nurses and other clinicians can complete barcode medication administration workflows easily without being burdened by a tethered scanner or large medication cart.

Sunrise Mobile Care helps Allscripts Sunrise clients leverage the value of their investment as the application uses existing forms and medical logic models and patient data always remains in sync. It joins a newly enhanced Allscripts Sunrise Mobile MD II, a comprehensive tool to facilitate frequent rounding by the clinical care team in the hospital environment.
