Allstate Celebrates 25th Anniversary of IPO

NORTHBROOK, Ill., June 4, 2018 /PRNewswire/ -- Twenty-five years ago, The Allstate Corporation (NYSE: ALL) sold $2.4 billion worth of shares on the New York Stock Exchange, making it, at the time, the largest initial public offering in U.S. history. The IPO also marked a pivotal moment in Allstate's path to becoming a completely independent company two years later when Sears spun off its remaining interest in Allstate to its shareholders.

Today Allstate has 85.6 million policies in force and a purpose-driven team of 82,900 who protect people from life's uncertainties and prepare them for the future, helping millions rebuild their lives after disaster strikes.
