AUSTIN, Texas, Oct. 16, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Medicare open enrollment is underway. This year, consumers may select Superior HealthPlan's Medicare Advantage products, branded as Allwell from Superior HealthPlan. The new national Allwell brand unites a family of local and regional Medicare plans under one umbrella, allowing Superior's network of experts and valued providers to deliver outstanding benefits and high-quality services to members across a spectrum of care.
Allwell from Superior HealthPlan will be available to residents in the following counties: Bexar, Cameron, Collin, Dallas, Denton, El Paso, Hidalgo, Nueces, Rockwall, Smith and Tarrant. The new plan name will be effective Jan. 1, 2018. Superior HealthPlan's STAR+PLUS Medicare-Medicaid Plan (MMP) will not be impacted by this name change and will continue to be marketed as such.
Medicare is a government health insurance program for people age 65 or older. It may also cover certain younger people with disabilities. Medicare beneficiaries can start shopping for an Allwell product that will meet their healthcare needs and budget during the Open Enrollment period through Dec. 7, 2017. Consumers and their family members can compare and purchase products on the Allwell from Superior HealthPlan website.
