Alpine Electronics of America, Inc., the industry-leading provider of mobile media solutions, has teamed up with Shopatron to launch a service to shop online, allowing U.S. customers to purchase products from its branded website for the first time.
The new service, available at www.alpine-usa.com, allows Alpine's U.S. customers to shop for products online while still supporting the network of authorized Alpine U.S. retailers. Using a retail-integrated eCommerce system, Alpine partners with its retailers by assigning online orders for local in-store pickup. This allows customers to get expert installation or additional accessories from hometown dealers.
"The Shopatron service adds a new dimension to Alpine's retail strategy," said Mike Anderson, Assistant Vice President of Sales for Alpine Electronics of America, Inc. "The ship-to-store model offers the convenience of an online shopping experience, while providing consumers with the in-person customer service and installation expertise that can only be delivered by our authorized Alpine retailers."
Shopatron currently has more than 70 client brands in the automotive aftermarket category, working with over 1,500 aftermarket dealers to fulfill orders on the Shopatron Network. Those online stores in the automotive aftermarket industry saw 208% same-store, year-over-year sales growth in the fourth quarter of 2010.
"Shopatron is a great solution for Alpine," said Ed Stevens, Founder and CEO of Shopatron. "It allows them to send foot traffic into their authorized, independent retailers, while at the same time guaranteeing that end consumers get the customer service, expert advice and installation services they need to ensure a positive brand experience."
