Al's Beef, Chicago's #1 Italian Beef Sandwich Shop - Opening This Week In Southern California
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 10, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- Al's Beef, Chicago's iconic Italian beef sandwich shop since 1938, is about to make its grand entrance into Southern California. The first California location will open December 14th in the Chino Spectrum followed quickly, in March, by location two in Alhambra. Plans are in the works for a major Southern California expansion in the next year.
Al's Beef dominates the Italian beef market in Chicago and is poised to do the same here in Southern California. It's been featured on TV numerous times and on a variety of channels – everything from the History Channel during their 2-hour "History of Food in America" documentary to the Travel Channel's "Food Wars," where it won a head to head contest with Mr. Beef, to a string of shows with Adam Richman's Man vs Food where Adam chose Al's Italian beef sandwich as the "Best Sandwich in the Midwest."
From its humble beginning back in 1938, brother Al Ferreri and his sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Chris Pacelli, Sr. began developing what is known today as one of the "Top 10 Sandwiches in America," a "Chicago Food Legend" and "Chicago's #1 Italian Beef Sandwich," an honor bestowed upon it by Chicago magazine.
The brand new Chino location opens on December 14th in the Chico Spectrum. 4021 Grand Ave. #A Chino, CA 91710
At Al's Beef, we keep our eyes on the beef. Looking forward to serving Southern California.
