Alteris Renewables' Residential Solar Solutions Deliver Peace of Mind

WILTON, Conn., Dec. 16, 2010 /PRNewswire/ -- The top renewable energy integrator in the northeast, Alteris Renewables, has introduced monitoring solutions into all residential solar panel installations effective immediately.  As one of the first renewable energy integrators to offer every residential customer the opportunity to actively track their energy production – anytime from anywhere with an Internet connection – Alteris is reaffirming its commitment to bringing reliable, sustainable power to the masses.

Concern about system reliability is often cited as one of the key reasons consumers are resistant to embracing renewable energy.  By including online monitoring as part of its standard offering, Alteris is eliminating this concern – customers can not only be confident their system is working, they can chart its energy generation.

Alteris customer Bill Kron of Plymouth, CT discovered that his system is producing more energy than anticipated by monitoring it through Alteris' web portal. "Our system is generating 10% more energy than estimated, reaffirming that going solar was a smart investment since all of the extra power generated is essentially free. I could not be more pleased with the decision to have solar panels and to have Alteris do the installation." 

In addition, the systems being installed by Alteris are revenue grade, which means that the data collected can be used to create Solar Renewable Energy Certificates (SRECs) in those states that offer them. Once a customer registers their system with their state's SREC tracking platform, they can establish a direct link between their account and the platform to help simplify the SREC generation and trading process.
