Altior Inc. Appoints Byron Rashed as Director of Marketing and Public Relations and Hank Cohen as Director of Product Management

EATONTOWN, N.J., Nov. 15, 2011 /PRNewswire/ -- Altior™ Inc., an innovative developer of advanced network and storage embedded systems solutions, has announced the appointment of Byron Rashed as director of marketing and public relations and Hank Cohen as director of product management. With 20 years of industry experience leading global marketing and public relations programs, Rashed is responsible for overseeing all global marketing and public relations operations.  Cohen brings 30 years of experience in the computing industry to his role as director of product management for Altior. Cohen is responsible for analyzing market conditions and defining the features and functions of Altior's products and solutions.

Prior to joining Altior, Rashed was director of global marketing at FirstCarbon Solutions and SSH Communications Security, where he was responsible for lead generation programs, product marketing, public relations and corporate marketing. As senior global marketing manager at VPNet Technologies, Rashed led the worldwide marketing communications team where he was responsible for ensuring industry-leading technology positioning in the VPN market. Rashed holds a bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of New York and is a member of the Public Relations Society of America, American Marketing Association and Institute of Industrial Engineers.

Before joining Altior, Cohen served as senior product manager at Celestix Networks, Inc. where he implemented the start-up's product life cycle process and was responsible for product marketing for several product lines, including pricing, product policies, upgrade programs, sales collateral and training programs and third-party relationships. Cohen's experience also includes product marketing roles with Hifn, Wind River Systems and Allied Telesis K.K. and applications development engineering roles with Concurrent Nippon Corp., Concurrent Computer Corp. (Masscomp) and Amdahl Corp. Cohen holds a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley.
