Altrient Challenges CrossFitters: 'Show Us Your WOD!'
Online Contest's Grand Prize is a Free Trip to The Pantheon Games in Miami.
LAS VEGAS, Oct. 2, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Are you man or woman enough to show your WOD on Facebook for all the world to see? All CrossFitters are intimately familiar with their WOD, the Workout of the Day that is the basis for all CrossFit training and competitions. Most are pretty serious about their training inside the Box (a CrossFit gym). But, Altrient wants to find out how committed CrossFitters carry on their training outside the Box - on a business trip, on vacation or whenever they can't work out in a suitable facility. So, Altrient created the Show Us Your WOD contest.
From now until October 12, CrossFitters can go to Altrient's Facebook page (facebook.com/altrient) and submit a photo or video of their favorite "travel WOD" – whatever they do to train while they're on the road. Do they substitute suitcases for wall balls and Kindergarteners for kettlebells? Do they snatch golf bags and lunge through lobbies? Altrient wants to know.
All travel WOD submissions will be judged for originality, effectiveness, creativity, enthusiasm and location. For example, elite CrossFit athlete and Altrient spokesperson, Cheryl Brost, once crushed a travel WOD on the deck of a yacht at sea.
The Show Us Your WOD contest is easy to enter. Simply "like" the Altrient Facebook page and complete the step-by-step registration and submission form. Complete contest rules are available on the page.
One winner will be awarded a Grand Prize package, including tickets to The Pantheon Games on October 20th and 21st in Miami, round-trip air fare, hotel accommodations at the DoubleTree hotel at the Miami Airport Convention Center (home of The Pantheon Games), access to the Altrient VIP Lounge at the Games, and a cache of Altrient™ ME™ and Altrient™ C.
The Pantheon Games add a wicked twist to the normal insanity of traditional CrossFit competitions by including some Olympic-style events on the slate of grueling challenges.
