If you think comparing a convention center to a temple and athletes to gods and goddesses is a bit of a stretch, you've probably never witnessed a CrossFit competition.

CrossFit, a global personal fitness phenomenon, has spawned a growing number of grueling local, regional, national and worldwide competitions.
