ALYCE Paris Mother of the Bride Dress Collection | Sex Appeal, Yes Please!
CHICAGO, Sept. 9, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Mother of the Bride dresses have long been considered unattractive and just quite "blah." ALYCE Paris took the next step to make Mothers of the Wedding shine like a diamond, and took the "blah" out!
Women want to enjoy themselves in their wardrobe, that is why ALYCE Paris, principle designer, Claudine Hamm, inserted a little twist and sex appeal into the Mother of the Bride dress collection, Jean De Lys this fall.
"We expanded our fabric palate to include softer, more forgiving fabrics that are popular in daywear and other markets. I know that I personally love a good jersey dress, and thought if that concept were made fancier and more upscale, that women could wear an appropriate dressy knit to her fancy event."
Softer fabric means a pleasurable evening, because we know how our women love to get down on the dance floor!
Alyce Hamm, founder and first designer of Alyce Designs Inc., currently known as ALYCE Paris, with the help of her brothers, purchased Chicago wedding dress company, Blum & Leibach, on December 27th, 1967.
Blum & Leibach manufactured wedding dresses as well as bridesmaid dresses, and when Alyce took over, she incorporated mother of the bride dresses. "It was Alyce's thing… to make mothers of the bride dresses," stated Hilde Hamm.
It wasn't until the early 1980's that Alyce started designing dresses specifically for prom, as ALYCE Paris is currently known for. Now, as ALYCE Paris nears its 50th anniversary, it's once again igniting its mother of the bride dress designs.
