Amber Engine Announces New Integration with Retail Management System Provider PROFITsystems
An integration between the product data solution software provider and one of the leading retail management systems streamlines product content imports and updates for home furnishings retailers.
DETROIT, April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Detroit-based home furnishings services and solutions provider Amber Engine is pleased to announce an integration with a leading retail management system provider PROFITsystems. Through this integration, retailers using the Amber Engine for Retailers portal and PROFITsystems' retail inventory and point of sale (POS) management software, RETAILvantage, gain the ability to simplify their product content management.
Amber Engine's integration with RETAILvantage introduces a cost-saving alternative to a traditionally manual approach. Product content from the home furnishings manufacturers that work with Amber Engine can now be exported to a retailer's PROFITsystems POS system through a single digital exchange. These exports are customized to the retailer's specific PROFITsystems account setup. This helps reduce the 30 or more hours per week the average retailer invests into manual data processes in support of core operations.
Research conducted by home furnishings industry associations and Amber Engine finds that 42 percent of retailers said the ability to onboard or update their current product data is one of the biggest challenges to creating or expanding their online presence.
