AMDS Inks Deal to Supply Exide with REX Water Quality Analysis Instruments

STOCKTON, Calif., Sept. 30, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- AMDS was invited by Exide Technologies at Exide's Vernon Recycling Center on September 11th to demonstrate the AMDS dissolved metals analysis instrument, REX.  REX is a turnkey detection and monitoring instrument coupled with remote reporting capability.  Wilson Durant, Exide's Process Engineer Leader had been looking for the ability to monitor dissolved metals to manage their waste water treatment processes based on timely and accurate data. REX will also provide a long-term data record, which can be used for ecological forensics and to record compliance with discharge laws.  Exide, in recognition of their ongoing commitment to environmental quality issues, has determined that the data provided by the AMDS instrument, REX, is the solution to improving their water treatment and discharge monitoring program.  "We expect Exide and AMDS to have a very productive long term relationship," stated Wilson Durant.

REX will give Exide the ability to monitor and record multiple dissolved metals in their various water uses to correct and manage Exide's wastewater effluent discharge processes. Wilson Durant says that Exide has been looking for a solution that will satisfy both internal monitoring and management of their water treatment chemical use and to be supportive of Exide's need to meet discharge requirements.
