Ameranth Files Lawsuit against Agilysys Inc. for Willfully Infringing its 21st Century Communications™ Web/Wireless Synchronization Inventions

SAN DIEGO, May 15, 2012 /PRNewswire/ -- Ameranth, Inc. announced today that it has filed a patent infringement lawsuit in the United States District Court for the Southern District of California in San Diego against defendant Agilysys Inc. Agilysys now widely deploys and depends upon technology and systems which incorporate and practice vital inventions protected by one or more claims of Ameranth's patents (U.S. Pat. Nos. 6,384,850, 6,871,325 and 8,146,077).

Ameranth has active patent infringement lawsuits pending against numerous infringing defendants, including Seamless, GrubHub, Exit41, PAR, QuikOrder, OpenTable, TicketMob/Laughstub, Agilysys Inc. and the three largest pizza chains - Papa John's, Domino's and Pizza Hut. In addition to a recently announced new license with Skywire Media, Inc., Ameranth has patent license agreements with Radiant, Menusoft, Netwaiter, Brink Software, Savory Mobile, Xpient, Munchaway and Snapfinger, and is in negotiations to provide licenses to numerous additional hospitality industry product/service providers.

The new lawsuit alleges that Agilysys Inc. has willfully infringed Ameranth's data synchronization patents across its family of hospitality products, including, e.g., Infogenesis POS by Agilysys with Infogenesis Roam Mobile Software Solution and/or its MPOS; its Lodging Management Solution by Agilysys with LMS Resnet, event ticketing and/or Mobile Resnet, Guest 360 Property Management Solution by Agilysys; and Res PAK Restaurant Management (collectively, the "Agilysys Systems").
