American Ambulance Sees Continued Growth Along The Seacoast
AASNE continues to expand footprint in New England with recent contract wins for hospitals, nursing homes, and towns of Kittery and Eliot, ME, among others
KITTERY and ELIOT, Maine, June 14, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- American Ambulance Service-New England (AASNE), the premier New England-based provider of emergent and non-emergent ambulance services at both the basic and advanced life support levels, today announced its continued growth and expansion in the New England region.
Just three months after opening the doors of their new Somersworth, NH station, AASNE has seen unprecedented growth on the Seacoast.
Early in May, the City of Somersworth voted unanimously to award a multi-year contract to AASNE for 9-1-1 services to City residents beginning on June 27. A few weeks later, the towns of Kittery and Eliot, Maine made a similar award to American with service to begin July 1.
Additionally, Wentworth-Douglass Hospital in Dover also announced new partnerships with AASNE to provide emergent and non-emergent medical transportation services from their facilities. Coupled with earlier contracts with several area nursing homes, dialysis centers, and hospice facilities, American has quickly become the largest medical transportation provider on the Seacoast.
"We are extremely proud of our team and the business plan they have executed over the last few months," said Brendan McNiff, Chief Operating Officer of AASNE. "Our strong, long-term relationships with facilities on the Seacoast are the key to our ongoing success."
Thanks to this rapid growth, American will more than double its current staff from 30 to nearly 60 employees with additional positions in the Somersworth office as well as a new location in Kittery.
American Ambulance Service provides emergent and non-emergent ambulance services at both the basic and advanced life support levels. They also provide disaster response, bariatric services, ventilator services, wheelchair van service and health care education to local health facilities, municipalities and to the communities they service.
