American Ambulance Service Wins Emergency Service Contract for the City of Somersworth, New Hampshire
AASNE expands market with big win in key area
SOMERSWORTH, N.H., May 8, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- American Ambulance Service-New England (AASNE), the premier New England-based provider of emergent and non-emergent ambulance services at both the basic and advanced life support levels, has made a major statement in New England with the recent win of a three year contract in a very pivotal area.
American Ambulance gained a new foothold in the region when city officials decided to switch providers in Somersworth, NH. The city council previously had an overwhelming majority vote to select AASNE and then last night voted unanimously to ratify the three year contract. AASNE crews will be responding to emergencies throughout the city instead of AMR who previously held the contract for over three decades.
"We are absolutely thrilled with the decision from the council," said American Ambulance Service's Chief Operating Officer Brendan McNiff. "Our team of experienced caregivers, many of whom are local residents of the Somersworth area, are also excited to provide the City of Somersworth with a more enhanced Emergency Medical Service system."
With the milestone win in the Seacoast, AASNE is now in the process of expanding further throughout the New England region over the next few months. The company will be introducing their new services to local hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, dialysis centers, urgent care centers, hospice, and home-care organizations as well as the cities and towns that use private ambulance services for their 9-1-1 responses. These cities will include Manchester and Nashua, NH and Berwick, Eliot and Kittery, ME, among others.
"As American Ambulance Service continues to grow and expand in every aspect, the message will stay the same," said General Manager Paul Robidas. "Our goal is simple; we strive to provide world-class care and responsiveness to our patients every single day."
American Ambulance Service provides emergent and non-emergent ambulance services at both the basic and advanced life support levels. The company also provides disaster response, bariatric services, ventilator services, wheelchair van service and health care education to local health facilities, municipalities and the communities they service.
