American College of Corporate Directors Feted 40 Masters Professional Directors
BOSTON, Sept. 26, 2013 /PRNewswire/ -- The American College of Corporate Directors, the public company director education and credentialing division of the Corporate Directors Group, honored 40 of its Masters and Executive Masters Professional Directors at a dinner September 25th in Boston. Nearly 200 of the organization's 1500 members have earned one of the four levels of Professional Director Certification, while 60 have received the prestigious "Masters level awards". These require between 100 and 150 hours of public company director education, mostly taught by professors from three of the top business and law schools.
The Professional Director Certification program was begun in 2007 by the Boston based organization and currently nearly 600 members of the Corporate Directors Group are in the Certification program. Professional Director Certification holders are identified in language appearing in proxy bios of public companies.
