American Media Digital Exceeds 46 Million Uniques in July
Four Titles Contribute to the Record-breaking Month
NEW YORK, Aug. 5, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- Four of American Media, Inc.'s premier titles recorded impressive digital growth, reports David J. Pecker, Chairman, President and CEO of American Media, Inc. (AMI). Shape and Men's Fitness each registered over eight million unique hits, while OK! Magazine and Muscle & Fitness each broke five million. "Our forward thinking investment in digital infrastructure and the compelling editorial to match is paying off," said Pecker. "While other publications are playing catch-up, AMI is seeing the positive results of its strategy daily, as is evidenced by these robust July numbers."
AMI brought in Chief Digital Officer Joe Bilman over two years ago to architect and lead AMI's digital strategy, and he has driven the agenda to its current success. "AMI is running a streamlined digital operation thanks to the hard work of a dedicated team which has built the platform and made it accessible to a devoted readership," said Bilman. "With numbers like this, we are capitalizing on the successful AMI titles and creating a foundation for even further editorial growth in the digital universe."
"Our audience is responding with clicks," added AMI CEO David J. Pecker. "AMI is strongly positioned for growth across our many popular categories thanks in part to the digital groundwork we have established."
