American Portfolios CEO Lon T. Dolber Attends Client Appreciation Event for Top Producer Theresa Hannon Honoring 30 Years in Financial Services

HOLBROOK, N.Y., March 31, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- American Portfolios Financial Services, Inc. (APFS) CEO Lon T. Dolber celebrated top producer Theresa Hannon of Wheaton, Ill. by attending a client appreciation event she hosted earlier this month, recognizing her 30 years of service as a financial advisor and the fruits of a "Random Acts of Kindness"  campaign she launched commemorating her anniversary.

A year-long celebration for 2014 that started with a holiday letter and an enclosed $100 bill to 90 clients asking to use the gift in a personal way that gives back to the community, generated heartwarming acts of giving to those in need and a rippling effect of goodwill; stories were retold and displayed at Hannon's client appreciation event held at the United Center, home of the Chicago Bulls.

"The campaign proved to be more successful than I could ever have imagined," reflected Hannon. "The accounts I heard of clients using the gifts towards the purchase of a wheel chair—and further subsidizing it with their own funds—for a neighbor, or buying groceries and supplies for families hit hard by severe weather in the Midwest since late fall, were beautiful and inspiring, making for the perfect anniversary celebration."  

The close of 2014 will mark Hannon's fifth year with American Portfolios. Hannon's 30-year celebration will continue on to another client appreciation event in June, inviting clients and their families to a Kane County Cougars minor league baseball game, sharing and displaying more stories from her "Acts of Kindness" campaign; it will culminate by the end of the year into the publication of a book containing all the wonderful stories told by her clients.
