(the "Company") (NYSE: ARPI) today announced that it will be added to the MSCI US REIT Index at the close of market on November 26, 2013. American Residential Properties is one of five additions to the index as part of MSCI's semi-annual index review.

The MSCI US REIT Index is based on the MSCI USA Investable Market Index (IMI) ("the parent index"), which is comprised of all the securities included in the MSCI USA Large Cap, MSCI USA Mid Cap and MSCI USA Small Cap Indices.
