American Samoa Medical Center Authority Chooses Stockell Healthcare's InsightCS® Revenue Cycle Information System

ST. LOUIS, May 28, 2014 /PRNewswire/ --  Stockell Healthcare Systems is pleased to announce that the American Samoa Medical Center Authority (ASMCA) and the American Samoa Department of Health (DOH) will be implementing the company's InsightCS® Revenue Cycle Information system. 

An unincorporated American territory, American Samoa comprises five main islands and two coral atolls with a rich cultural heritage. The ethnic diversity of residents coupled with the territory's geographic separation and modest economic opportunities create significant public health challenges.

The InsightCS® end-to-end suite of Patient Scheduling and Registration, Payer Eligibility Checking, Patient Accounting and Billing, Claims Resolution and Processing, Contract Management, Denial Tracking and Reporting applications will be in use at the Lyndon B. Johnson (LBJ) Tropical Medical Center, the main healthcare facility for the American Samoa island group, as well as at all ASMCA and DOH clinics.

InsightCS® is being implemented in American Samoa along with Medsphere's OpenVista electronic health record (EHR), a comprehensive suite of clinical support applications to enable the organization to meet Meaningful Use and to support a broad range of healthcare services for American Samoa residents.
