Print Ads Targeting Senators Harry Reid, Arlen Specter, Blanche Lincoln, Kirsten Gillibrand, Barbara Boxer Come on Heels of Successful Ad Campaign in Massachusetts Senate Special Election Campaign

WASHINGTON, Jan. 21 /PRNewswire-USNewswire/ -- Following its successful $200,000 independent expenditure TV ad campaign last week in Massachusetts on behalf of U.S. Senator-elect Scott Brown, Americans for Responsible Heath Care is launching its second wave of advertising today.

The latest ads, which will appear in key newspapers in Nevada, Pennsylvania, New York, California and Arkansas, serve to remind elected officials that the result of Tuesday's Senate election in Massachusetts was a clear message that the people of Massachusetts and indeed the nation are strongly opposed to the planned government takeover of health care.

Americans for Responsible Heath Care Spokesman Jeff Cohen said:

"For the second time in history, the people of Massachusetts have fired the shot heard round the world. They elected Scott Brown to the United States Senate this week because he is the nation's best last chance to stop the astonishingly liberal government takeover of health care.

"So far in this debate, Senators Reid, Specter, Gillibrand, Lincoln and Boxer have callously turned their backs on the people with their strident support for the government's takeover of health care. That's wrong.

"With these ads, Americans for Responsible Health Care is letting these five Senators know that if they continue to ignore the will of the people, then the people will impose their will on them on election day. And rest assured, Americans for Responsible Health Care will be there to help the people do just that."
