According to the Center for Sexual Health Promotion at Indiana University, the majority of American women (53 percent) and a growing number of American men (45 percent) have used a vibrator(i). In a nationally representative study among women and men, the Center for Sexual Health Promotion found that couples are using and embracing vibrators more than ever before.(ii) An overwhelming majority of women (93 percent) who have used a vibrator in their lifetime say their partner likes that they use a vibrator and 80 percent of female vibrator users claim they use vibrators with their partners.(iii)
Ninety-four percent of women who have used vibrators have reported pleasurable feelings which may lead to orgasm, and not surprisingly, women who are sexually satisfied have better overall well-being than those who are not. (iv)

More than nine in 10 women (95 percent) who use vibrators agree that they are part of a healthy sex life(v), and the majority of participants (even those who had never used a vibrator) agreed with positive statements about women's vibrator use, indicating an openness and acceptance of it among American women and men(vi).
