America's Leading Employers Join Forces to Hire 50,000 Veterans and Military Spouses
VetFriendly Challenge will connect thousands of veterans and military spouses with employers who wish to hire them
PHILADELPHIA, April 23, 2013 /PRNewswire-iReach/ -- Veteran Recruiting Services, the recognized leader of virtual career fairs for the military community, and dozens of the Nation's leading employers are teaming up in support of the White House Joining Forces Initiative, to hire at least 50,000 veterans and military spouses by 2018. The VetFriendly campaign will consist of nationwide virtual career fairs and a military friendly employer index by industry.

As part of the challenge, VRS will continue to host the military virtual career fairs, and will also add industry specific virtual career fairs for the following; government, financial services, technology, retail, transportation, healthcare, communications, entertainment, energy, manufacturing, defense, hospitality, food and beverage, and insurance.
VRS will host an industry specific virtual career fair for the retail industry on April 25th with the following employers who will participate; 24 Hour Fitness, Comerica Bank, Lowe's, Nordstrom, Sears, Staples, Verizon, Wal-Mart, Wells Fargo, and Xerox Business Services.
VRS will also host the Military Spouse Appreciation Day virtual career fair for the third straight year on May 10, 2013.
