NEW YORK, Sept. 8, 2014 /PRNewswire/ -- America's most storied collegiate rivals return to Madison Square Garden for their second annual "Rivalry on Ice" hockey game on January 10, 2015. In the inaugural game last January, brand ambassadors Mark Messier, Mike Richter and Dominic Moore set the stage by dropping the puck with Secretary of State John Kerry as Yale defeated Harvard in front of a capacity crowd.
Harvard will look to even the score when they face their long-time rivals again on the same ice where New York Rangers teammates Mark Messier and Mike Richter raised the Stanley Cup. Tickets are on sale now to the general public through Ticketmaster (www.ticketmaster.com) and the Madison Square Garden website (www.thegarden.com). Harvard fans can also purchase tickets through the Harvard Athletic Ticket Office (617-495-2211) or at tickets.gocrimson.com. Yale fans can purchase tickets at the Yale Athletic Ticket office (203-432-1400) or at [email protected]. Tickets are also available at the Madison Square Garden box office.
The "Rivalry on Ice" series (www.rivalryonice.com) is part of a multi-year agreement, in which Leverage Agency will handle full 360 marketing and promotion for the event. The game will air live nationally on NBC Sports Network.
"Last year's game was a tremendous success, and we're adding even more opportunities for fans and alumni to enjoy the weekend," said Ben Sturner, Chief Executive Officer of Leverage Agency. "Also, we're thrilled to continue our partnership with Mark Messier, who brings 'Rivalry on Ice' to an even higher level as he is such an inspiration to New Yorkers and fans worldwide."
