America's Music School Takes the Stage for Battle of the Bands XV

BETHESDA, Md., May 20, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Back by popular demand, Bach to Rock (B2R), America's music school for students of all ages, announced today that Battle of the Bands XV will electrify audiences in the D.C. metro area next month with performances by over 350 local students. An annual tradition for elementary, middle and high school kids enrolled in Bach to Rock's Jam Band program, Battle of the Bands will take place on June 7, 14, and 16 at The Fillmore Silver Spring and on June 13 at AMP by Strathmore in North Bethesda.

Battle of the Bands XV will take place over four days at The Fillmore Silver Spring located at 8656 Colesville Road and AMP by Strathmore located at 11810 Grand Park Avenue. Admission is $5 (cash only) at the door.

• June 7, 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. -- Virginia elementary school students perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring
• June 13, 10 a.m. - 1:30 p.m. -- Virginia middle school students perform at AMP by Strathmore
• June 14, 1 p.m. - 7 p.m. -- Maryland elementary and Maryland/Virginia high school students perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring
• June 16, 5 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. -- Maryland middle School students perform at The Fillmore Silver Spring

Each judging panel will consist of three local musicians, which will score the 90 competing bands on ensemble precision, stage presence and musicianship. One winner from each state's division -- elementary, middle and high school -- will receive the opportunity to work with a professional audio engineer to record original material in B2R's state-of-the-art recording studios. Their performances will also be posted on B2Rmusic.com, as well as B2R's Facebook, Twitter and YouTube pages.
