AMN Healthcare Celebrates Allied Health Professionals Week by Recognizing Inspirational Travel Clinicians

While Allied Health Professionals have always been an integral part of our nation's healthcare system, they are becoming increasingly important as more Americans seek access to healthcare in an expanding care delivery environment that includes home health services, a variety of outpatient services and schools.

In celebration of Allied Health Professionals Week, which takes place this year from Nov. 4 - 10, two outstanding Allied Healthcare travel clinicians were recognized for their service by AMN Healthcare.

The following two Allied Healthcare Professionals were recognized with the AMN Allied Achiever Award. This award honors clinicians who go the extra mile for their patients and colleagues, greeting everyone with a smile, creating an air of comfort to their facilities, and always seeking new ways to enhance patient care.

• Brian Kura, Physical Therapist with Club Staffing, currently on assignment with Jefferson Healthcare in Port Townsend, WA. Brian was selected for this award because of his respectful and careful interactions with patients and staff that represent the clinic in a positive light. "As a traveling clinician, Brian quickly assimilated to the culture at Jefferson Healthcare," said Mitzi Hazard, DPT, Director of Rehabilitation Services and Wellness at Jefferson Healthcare. "Already he has people asking to see him because they have heard from others about how good he is."
• Eric Elick, SLP with Med Travelers, currently on assignment with Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA. Eric was selected for this award because he is a standout performer. "Eric demonstrates high levels of productivity, great enthusiasm and always shows his passion for his profession by delivering great care to patients," said Carla Griffith, Director of Therapy Services at Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital.

Award recipients will receive an engraved award, gift basket and $500 in continuing education support and travel vouchers.
